Mentor access

Let someone look, without handing over your account.

Sending screenshots is how most people share their trading, and it shows the good week. This shows the real pages — the ones you use — to one person, for the pages you pick, until the date you set.

Read-only by construction. There is no path by which a mentor can change anything of yours.

You choose the rooms

Access is a list of pages, not a job title

There is no "mentor" role to be given. A grant names the pages it opens and nothing else is reachable — everything starts closed and only what you switch on is visible.

What you open, one by one Example

  • Dashboard
  • Portfolio
  • Performance
  • Trades

Closed3

Never4

Not on the list, and cannot be added to it

Your written notes are a separate decision

The free text inside a trade is the most personal thing in the journal, so it is not folded into the Trades page. It is its own permission, and leaving it off means a mentor sees the trade and not what you wrote about yourself that day.

Four things cannot be shared at any setting

Settings, Admin, Billing and the affiliate portal are not on the list and cannot be added to it. They are not analysis, and there is no version of this feature in which someone helping you read your trading needs your card details.

They see the real page, not a summary of it

A mentor opens your actual Performance page, your actual Trades table, reading the same figures you read. Nothing is recomputed for them and there is no separate mentor view to drift out of step with yours.

Starting one

An invitation that only works for the person you sent it to

You invite by email. The link carries a token that is stored only as a hash, and the account that accepts it has to be the invited address — so a forwarded link is worth nothing to whoever receives it.

Starting one Example
Invitation sent 7 days
Accepted
Access runs 90 days
It ends

The link is not the key

Sent tomaria@example.com

Stored assha2567f3c…9ae1

The token itself is never kept — only a hash of it — and the account that accepts has to be the invited address.

Knowing who you are gets nobody in

Access is deny-by-default and belongs to a specific grant. Your email, your user id, your public portfolio link — none of them is a way in. Without a grant there is nothing to open.

The invitation itself expires

An unaccepted invitation lapses after a week, so a link that sat in an old inbox is not a door left open.

Ending one

It ends when you say, and also when you forget

Every grant carries an end date whether or not you think about one, because the access people regret is the access nobody got around to removing.

How a grant ends Example
Default length90 days
Longest you can set365 days
Invitation valid for7 days
Mentors at once10

One state at a time

  • Invited
  • Active
  • Declined
  • Expired
  • Revoked

Revoking is immediate

It is not a request or a scheduled removal. The next thing they try to open is not there.

A grant is in exactly one state at a time — invited, active, declined, expired or revoked — and an expired one is expired at the moment it lapses, not the next time somebody looks.

What never travels

Shaped on the server, not hidden in the browser

Everything a mentor receives is filtered before it leaves the server. This is not a page that draws less; it is a payload that contains less.

What never travels Example

What your page holds

{  account: {    sourceId: "conn_8f2b41c9"    venue: "Binance"    nickname: "main"    apiKey: "Xk92…4Ha1"    email: "you@example.com"    plan: "pro"    syncPath: "/api/accounts/conn_8f2b41c9/sync"  }  position: {    id: "conn_8f2b41c9:ETHUSDT:2025-03-04"    asset: "ETH"    quantity: 18.6    avgCost: 2390.78    realised: 1375.8    executionIds: ["ex_41", "ex_42"]  }}

What the mentor receives

{  account: {    venue: "Binance"  }  position: {    id: "acct-1:ETHUSDT:2025-03-04"    asset: "ETH"    quantity: 18.6    avgCost: 2390.78    realised: 1375.8  }}

Removed heresourceIdnicknameapiKeyemailplansyncPathexecutionIds +52

The right-hand column is not a drawing of the filter. It is the filter’s own output, run over the left-hand column while this page was built.

Dropped wherever they appear

Wallet addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, API keys and secrets, passphrases, tokens, session data, password hashes, two-factor details, IP addresses, plan and billing — removed at any depth of the payload, not just at the top.

Your accounts become acct-1, acct-2

A mentor can filter by account without ever learning your internal identifiers, including where an id is buried inside a longer string. An identifier that is not on the list gets a pseudonym on sight rather than slipping through.

Nothing to click through to

Operational links and paths are stripped as well. There is nothing in what a mentor receives that would let them open or trigger anything of yours.

Read-only

There is no write path to take away

A mentor is not a restricted editor. The mentor surfaces read; none of them can reach a store that holds your trading data.

Recorded Example
  • 09:41MENTOR_INVITE_CREATED
  • 10:02MENTOR_INVITE_ACCEPTED
  • 10:02MENTOR_WORKSPACE_OPENED
  • 10:03MENTOR_PAGE_READ
  • 10:11MENTOR_ACCESS_DENIED
  • 14:20MENTOR_GRANT_REVOKED

Every line is an action the product writes to the audit log, including the one that was refused.

You can see what they did

Invitations, acceptances, changes, revocations, every workspace opening and every refused attempt are recorded. Sharing something is not the same as losing track of it.

They cannot act for you

No mentor can place a trade, connect an account, change a setting or move money — for the same reason nobody can: the product has no such capability at all.

What it is not

Three things this does not turn into

Sharing a journal with somebody sounds adjacent to several things it is deliberately not.

It is not copy trading

Nobody follows anybody. A mentor reads what already happened in your account and cannot mirror, signal or execute anything.

It is not advice from us

UnifyTrade shows your data to a person you chose. What they tell you is between you and them, and who you trust is your judgement to make.

It is not a public profile

A grant is one relationship with one person. Nothing here publishes anything, and sharing a portfolio publicly is a separate feature with its own controls.

Show somebody the whole picture

Pick the pages, set the date, send one invitation. Take it back whenever you like.
